Ona

Description

Ona is a platform for running teams of AI software engineers in the cloud. When they came to MAD, the ask wasn’t just a rebrand. It was a reinvention of how an entire company shows up in the world.

Over six months, our team worked across renaming, strategy, brand, product, and motion. The visible work was significant: a new identity, a design system, and a large-scale rollout across New York Times Square and San Francisco. But the more demanding work happened underneath. Design systems, documentation, internal tooling, alignment across teams and stakeholders. The invisible layer where vision either becomes reality or quietly falls apart.

That gap is easy to underestimate. It rarely appears in proposals, yet it’s where the most time goes and where the most expertise is needed. Getting a company to move in sync, across creative direction, business alignment, and internal decision-making, is its own discipline.

For Ona, the result was a brand and product experience that positioned them as a human-first, AI-native platform at the forefront of a fast-moving industry.
